Hmm... I've owned many Steinhart O39's. I've always enjoyed their high quality and price points. It's been a while since my last one. But, looking at this one, I feel they may have redesigned their lug ends a bit? It looks to have a slightly more down curve and less bluntly cut off than before. Am I seeing things or have they actually finally redesigned their case with redesigned lug ends? I know this was a common niggle in their 0cean line before, myself included, in both the 41 and 39 mm versions.

Eco-Drive: not much to perfect. It’s a photovoltaic cell under a dial that allows ambient light to pass through, plus a capacitor to store excess power that this produces, so that the watch can keep running quite a while even if then kept in the dark. I doubt that they’ve improved it appreciably in twenty years. When I’m not wearing my three Eco-Drive watches, two radio-synched and one using GPS satellites, I leave them on a windowsill that gets little direct sun. I’ve had one of those watches for at least 12 years and it was my usual watch for almost a decade. It’s possible that someday the capacitor will need replacing. Eco-Drive is old but good. It’s the A060 movement’s accuracy that’s the exciting part.

I would love to see more videos of you both talking about anything watch related. Especially just making videos together about the watches you have and talking together about them.
